What began as a routine emergency response turned into a multi-vehicle collision that sent seven people to the hospital. Miraculously, no one died. San Antonio Fire Department Engine 44 was eastbound on Marbach with emergency lights flashing and siren blaring. As the fire truck entered the intersection, it collided with a northbound box delivery truck belonging to Bill Miller Bar-B-Q. The impact was severe enough to partially crush the box truck, setting off a chain reaction that involved at least four other vehicles: two small sedans, a pickup truck, and a full-sized SUV.
