When the Room You Were Promised Was Safe Turns Out to Be the Crime Scene A homeless woman in her thirties, desperate for a hot shower, was offered one by a man she and her mother had met a few times. He was a 36-year-old registered sex offender with a 2009 felony conviction for sexual penetration by a foreign object. The offer was a lie. The motel room in Thousand Oaks became the setting for a forcible rape and an extended sexual assault that ended only when the victim fought her way out the door. The man was convicted in February 2025 in Ventura County Superior Court of forcible rape, false imprisonment, forcible oral copulation, sexual battery, and two counts of sexual penetration by force or fear, and the court found true the special allegations that his victim was vulnerable. In a separate Ventura County incident nine months later, a 21-year-old Oxnard man allegedly kept a 21-year-old Oxnard woman trapped inside his vehicle near the intersection of East Thousand Oaks Boulevard and Rancho Road, with witnesses reporting the victim was screaming to be let out; the vehicle hit a concrete bollard at a gas station meant to protect the fuel…

If You Were Sexually Assaulted at a Monterey Hotel, the Law Has Changed — and the Door Is Open If you are reading this, someone you love — or you — went to a Monterey hotel as an adult in control of the evening, and woke up missing pieces of it. Or you were drugged. Or you were too drunk to consent and someone decided that did not matter. Or you remembered telling him no and he did it anyway. Or you remembered nothing and were told, later, what happened to your body while you could not speak. We are sorry that is what brought you here. We have represented survivors of hotel sexual assault across California, and we know the shape of the harm — the flashbacks that arrive at 2 a.m., the shame that is not yours, the partner you have not yet told, the marriage that is bending, the job where you cannot concentrate, the bottle you told yourself you would not open again. We know the cost is not just medical. The cost is the life you had before, which is not coming back exactly as it was, and you have to grieve that while you…

A Loved One Didn’t Come Home From a Beverly Hills Mansion Party — And Someone Is Responsible For That The 911 call came in just before 12:45 a.m. on August 4, 2020. When Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics reached the 13200 block of Mulholland Drive — a stretch of narrow, twisting road carved into the Santa Monica Mountains above Beverly Crest — they found three adults down on the driveway outside a three-story mansion. Two women and one man. One of the women, believed to be around 35 years old, was pronounced dead at the hospital. A second woman was listed in grave condition. A fifth victim, another adult male, self-transported to a local hospital and was later released. A sixth, an adult female, was in stable condition. She went to a party. She did not come home. If that sentence is yours — if you are reading this because your daughter, your sister, your mother, or your friend was one of the five people who were shot on the driveway of a Mulholland Drive mansion while a DJ played and a food truck served food to nearly 200 people inside — then you are in the right place. We…

Your Sister, Your Mother, Your Daughter Was Killed at a House That Should Never Have Held 200 People You are reading this in the part of grief that has no name. The phone call that came before sunrise, the drive to a hospital where the people in scrubs could not look at you, the moment you understood the words “did not survive” were going to be your life from that morning forward. You are not looking for a lawyer because you want to argue. You are looking for one because every question you have asked since the night your loved one was killed at that party on Mulholland Drive has been answered with silence, with a press conference, or with a statement from an insurer that begins with the word “sympathy” and ends with a number that is not enough to bury her. We hear you. And we want to tell you the truth about what the law does, what it does not, and how the family of a 35-year-old mother of three who was shot and killed at a Beverly Crest mansion party in the early hours of August 4, 2020 can hold the right people accountable for what…

Orinda Halloween Rental House Shooting Wrongful Death Lawsuit: Attorney911 Holds Airbnb and Homeowners Liable for Gang Violence at Unregulated Party House, Ralph Manginello’s 27+ Years of Federal-Court Trial Practice, Lupe Peña the Former Insurance-Defense Insider Who Knows How the Claims Machine Values These Cases, We Secure Prior Complaint Logs, Social Media Ads, and Police Dispatch Records Before They Vanish, California’s Wrongful Death Act and Comparative Fault Rule, the Firm Has Recovered Millions in Catastrophic Cases — Free 24/7 Consultation, No Fee Unless We Win, Hablamos Español, 1-888-ATTY-911

You Lost Someone in a House That Should Never Have Hosted That Party You are reading this because your family member — your son, your brother, your child’s father — went to a Halloween party at a house in Orinda on the night of October 31, 2019, and never came home. Five young people died in a single chaotic shootout. The home was advertised on social media as a “mansion party.” More than a hundred people showed up. The night ended in gunfire, panic, people leaping from balconies, and a death count that still haunts a quiet town in the hills east of Oakland. If you are the mother or the young daughter of Javlin County, you are carrying a loss that no civil lawsuit can make whole. But the law does not leave you without recourse. It gives you a way to hold accountable the people whose choices turned a residential rental home into an unsupervised late-night venue for more than a hundred strangers — and a way to make sure your daughter grows up with the financial security her father would have provided. This page is what we at Attorney911 do for families in your position. We take…

The Phone Call We Get From Families Hours After a Wrong-Way Highway 24 Wreck The call usually comes at three in the morning, or right after the chaplain has left the hospital room, or from a kitchen table in Orinda, Lafayette, or Moraga where the family is trying to understand what the California Highway Patrol officer just told them on the porch. Sometimes it comes from a survivor lying in a Contra Costa County hospital bed with a broken body and an unbroken question: how did this happen, and what do I do now? If that is you, or if that is your family tonight, hear us first: we are so sorry for what has happened, and we are ready to do the work that has to be done in the next seventy-two hours to protect the case you may not yet be ready to think about. The death or injury of someone you love in a wrong-way collision on Highway 24 in Orinda is not just a news event. It is the worst day of your life. And it is also — whether you are ready to hear this or not — the first day of a legal process…

You Are Not To Blame. You Are Not Alone. And You Still Have Rights. We want you to hear this first, before anything else on this page: what happened to you was not your fault. The intoxication. The hotel room. The trust you placed in a man whose job was to keep that place safe. None of it gave anyone the right to do what was done. The law is on your side, and so are we. If you are reading this late at night, or early in the morning, or in the middle of the day when the house is finally quiet and the memories come back — we are here. Our firm has spent more than two decades standing between survivors of sexual violence and the institutions that failed them. We have walked survivors through forensic exams, police reports, insurance carriers that tried to stonewall, and the long arc of civil litigation. We know the geography of this fight. We know what insurance companies do in the first seventy-two hours. We know what hotel chains say when their own general manager is arrested. And we know that the case is built one piece at a time, starting with…

Sylmar Motel 6 Human Trafficking & Negligent Security Lawsuit — Attorney911 Holds G6 Hospitality and Its Corporate Parent Accountable for 60+ Arrests, Staff Complicity in Renting Rooms to Pimps, and the Foreseeable Criminal Activity That Turned the Premises Into a Hub for Gang Violence, Drug Distribution, and Exploitation: Ralph Manginello’s 27+ Years of Federal-Court Trial Practice, Lupe Peña the Former Insurance-Defense Attorney Who Knows How the Claims Machine Undervalues These Cases, We Secure Guest Registries, Security Footage, and Police Reports Before They Are Purged, California’s Public Nuisance Doctrine and the City’s $250,000 Settlement Prove the Pattern — Free 24/7 Consultation, No Fee Unless We Win, Hablamos Español, 1-888-ATTY-911

What Happened to You at the Sylmar Motel 6 Was a Documented Pattern, Not a Freak Event If you are reading this, something happened to you, or to someone you love, at the Motel 6 in Sylmar — and you want to know whether the law treats what happened as an accident, or as a choice the hotel made. The short answer is: it was a choice, and a long one. The longer answer is what this page is for. We are going to walk through, in plain English, what the public record already shows about that location, the federal and California civil statutes that give a survivor (or a family acting for a survivor) a path into court, what evidence exists that the hotel company knew, who you actually sue, what kind of recovery is realistic, and what you should do in the next 72 hours to protect a case that can quietly disappear while the videotapes recycle and the housekeeping logs get purged. We handle cases like this from intake through trial. Ralph P. Manginello has spent 27+ years in courtrooms, including federal court, and was a journalist before he was a lawyer — which is why we…

Studio 6 Concord Sex Trafficking Lawsuit: Attorney911 Holds G6 Hospitality Liable Under TVPRA for Years of Abuse, Beatings, and Cigarette Burns — Ralph Manginello’s 27+ Years of Federal-Court Trial Practice, Lupe Peña the Former Insurance-Defense Insider Who Knows How the Claims Machine Values These Cases, We Preserve Hotel Logs, Keycard Data, and Staff Statements Before They Vanish, California’s Comparative-Fault Rule and the Firm’s $50M+ Recovered for Injury Victims — Free 24/7 Consultation, No Fee Unless We Win, Hablamos Español, 1-888-ATTY-911

You Are Not Alone in What Happened in That Hotel Room You are reading this page because something happened to you in a hotel in Concord, or somewhere nearby, and the door still does not feel fully closed. Maybe the trafficker has been arrested. Maybe no one has been charged yet. Maybe you are still running the math on whether you are allowed to be angry, whether what happened to you has a legal name, and whether anyone in this country is going to do anything about it. We want to answer those three questions straight, before we get into any law. What happened to you has a legal name. It is called sex trafficking, and it is a federal crime. The hotel where it happened is not innocent bystander real estate in this country. Under a federal statute called the Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act, a hotel that took money from a venture it knew or should have known was trafficking can be sued. In November 2025, a senior federal judge in San Francisco — U.S. District Judge Maxine Chesney — ruled that the company behind the Motel 6 and Studio 6 brands, G6 Hospitality, must face exactly that…

Hotel Sex Trafficking Lawsuit in Anaheim & Escondido: Attorney911 Holds Wyndham, Ramada & Super 8 Accountable for Ignoring Red Flags of Forced Exploitation, Federal TVPRA Claims & California Premises Liability, Ralph Manginello’s 27+ Years of Federal-Court Trial Practice, Lupe Peña the Former Insurance-Defense Insider Who Knows How the Hospitality Industry’s Claims Machine Operates, We Preserve Guest Folios & Staff Training Logs Before They’re Destroyed, the Firm Has Recovered Millions for Survivors of Severe Trauma — Free 24/7 Consultation, No Fee Unless We Win, Hablamos Español, 1-888-ATTY-911

If You Were Trafficked at a Ramada in Anaheim or a Super 8 in Escondido, the Hotel That Took the Money Is on the Hook — and You May Still Have Time We want to talk to you directly, not to the news cycle, and not to the corporate defendant. If you are the survivor whose story is now public — or if you are someone who was trafficked at a budget motel in Anaheim or Escondido and have never told anyone — we want you to read this carefully, because the law in California and under federal statute gives you more power than you have been told, and the companies that profited from what happened to you can be made to answer for it. You did not get caught in something complicated. You got caught in something simple: a system built to move money, where men and women and children were rented by the hour, the night, or the week, and the motel kept cashing the credit card swipes. The corporate defendant is not just the property at 921 S. Harbor Blvd in Anaheim or the property in Escondido. It is the brand on the sign — Wyndham, with…
