Fatal Head-On Collision on SH 90 in Navasota: Attorney911 Expert Analysis of Grimes County Trucking Wreck The impact on State Highway 90 was absolute. At approximately 6:35 a.m. on a Thursday morning, just west of Thane Road in Navasota, a 31-year-old Plano man lost his life in a catastrophic head-on collision involving a 2025 Peterbilt 18-wheeler and two Ford pickup trucks. According to investigators, a Ford F-250 traveling westbound approached a curve but continued straight, crossing into the eastbound lanes. It struck the massive Peterbilt head-on before colliding with a 2021 Ford F-150. The force of the collision was so severe that the 18-wheeler was forced into a ditch, where it partially rolled onto its side. The driver of the F-250, Ali Almheimid, was pronounced dead at the scene. Two passengers in his vehicle were rushed to hospitals in College Station—one to Baylor Scott & White with serious injuries and another to St. Joseph Hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the F-150 was also hospitalized in Grimes County. At Attorney911, we know that a “straight-on-a-curve” narrative often hides complex layers of liability. Whether it was a mechanical failure in the brand-new 2025 Peterbilt, driver fatigue, or road design issues…
